Hannah Shepherd is a Registered Veterinary Nurse and Founder of zumi. She qualified as an RVN in 1995 and has worked in busy vet practices ever since. She is (most importantly) best pal to rescue dog Loula, rescue cat Toast, and rescue turtle Stinky.
In 2020, alongside clinical work in practice, Hannah started offering non-clinical pet care services in the local community – helping and supporting pets and pet people in their own homes. It soon became apparent that the threefold increase in pet ownership since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic caused the demand for trusted pet care services to skyrocket. This was the beginning.
Hannah challenged herself to create a platform for pet parents and RVNs, inclusive for everyone, uniting pet people with the best professional pet caregivers out there… for what became.. zumi!
